Curb Alert !!!

That lid has to be a transplant, I can’t be alone in thinking that can I? A Genesis 3 with fat white walls and a blue lid? Looks gorgeous though!
I'll bet it's the original lid. It seems those older Genesis 1-5 lids have a lot more "orange peel" in the finish than the later lids. There's one for sale by me now with a maroon lid that looks the same way.

In the original pic, it looks to me like a warm (outside air temp) grill sprayed with cold water and the resulting condensation/sweating.
That lid is definitely a first generation Genesis lid. I can easily tell the difference in the porcelain enamel on the first generation. In person up close.

That's exactly right but they also seem to hold up the best over the years. You can also find tiny factory flaws in the porcelain enamel on the first generation. Very tiny but if you go over them with a fine tooth comb you can see some tiny spots that you won't find in second generation perfect lid

I have SS panels off of Gold C and Silver B. Do you all think they would fit on the 1000-3000 variety?
I mean only front cook box cover panel.
