Seasoned up some CSR with some sweet rub and the Chicken with Cowtown all purpose BBQ. Smoked over 1 big chunk of pecan and 4 chunks of apple. Used a mixture of Cowboy lump and Stubbs. It was a good day. Thanks for lookin!

Half of them got sauced on the smoker the other half was dry.

It all looks really good, specifically in cooking evenness, color, and from here, texture as well. Temps and times? Dry pan? Good job.

I actually went with water in the pan this time because my cooker will set in for 250 and stay there for a long time. I had the CSR on the top rack for about 2.5 hours and then put the chicken on the bottom rack for about 2 hours. After that I had to move the chicken up top to get them a little darker. I put the CSR in a tin pan and foiled them on the bottom. Total cook time for the CSR was about 5 hours and they were falling apart. Chicken came out gret too. Thanks for the nice comments! Can't wait to do it again next weekend.
