What is your process for cleaning them up?
How long did it take you for the three burners. They do look good.
IDK how some of you guys keep using a drill to do this stuff instead of an angle grinder
Ok, I do three burners in about 15 minutes with my angle grinder and wire cup brush. Even though yours looks great, I am not that patient.Oh im not done. My battery died after the cross tube and half a burner. Maybe worked on it for 30 minutes ish ?
Well, one reason might be that if you are not careful, you can damage a tube, especially the crossover tube. For some things, a drill and wire brush just might be a better solution.
Way less control with a drill twisting and turning on it's axis, as opposed to an angle grinder which is WAY more controllable
First tries will take longer. After you do a few sets, you get a feel for it. Plus, if you want to cheat, you only have to do the tops and sides of the tubes as the bottoms won't show once installed.
Wow! Those look like they came out of a new Weber box 27 years ago! Beautiful work.View attachment 96215
I used a scotch bright pad on these 1997 burner tubes

My preference is the bench grinder wire wheel, but it is not as powerful as an angle grinder. I have SO MANY of these that I need to restore!
