Christmas List

My wife and mom have been asking what I want for Christmas. I don't really NEED anything, so the best thing I could think of was grilling accessories.

I have a 22.5 OTG and a Q220. I already have a chimney starter, Charcoal holders, and two cheap thermometers.

Here are the ideas I have so far. Let me know what else you'd recommend.

Thermopen
Roti
Smokenator - not sure about this one
Double grill rack

I've looked at some different grates but have no idea where to go on that.

Maybe a maverick so you don't have to run back and forth to the grill to watch temps. 2nd choice would be the Roti for me for my performer.

I'd go for the roti. Once you have that and do your first cook on it, you'll wonder how you ever did without it. :)

Smokenator. One thing to keep in mind is that you can use a pair of fire bricks and accomplish the same thing.

I am in the same boat. I asked for a new kettle cover, a slide aside, and a rib rack.

My list of best things to have:

I have the Weber rib rack that inverts to be a roast holder. I like that one.

For any q220 owner... the conversion hose to use regular 20lb propane bottles.

welding gloves

firebricks; a 6 pack of firebricks cost me about $12 and I use them a lot.
extra grates, even an 18.5 grate for use in the 22.5.

cast iron skillet or dutch oven for use in the kettle. (and also flax seed oil for proper seasoning)

good, long Weber tongs

Brian, I'm with you on the firebricks.

I'd like to have the Roti, but afraid it would be one of those things I used a couple times then never touch it again

After getting too many useless grilling accessories (like cheap utensil kits with one or two bits worth using, or a grate oiler that would get oil on everything except the grate), I told the family that cash or Amazon gift cards were the best choice. Even when I give a very specific description of what part or item I want (including the part or model number and price), my bargain-hunting MIL would manage find a cheap knockoff that wouldn't last more than a cook or two.

Rotisserie. I love mine. Every time you use it people are are fascinated with it. Plus it puts out great chicken on the 22.
