Hi All

I introduce yoy to my first attempt to chicken lollipops.

I bought some legs

Then I frenched them, but I didn't trim the meat side

I applied 2 layers of rub

Then in WSM at 300 for 2 hours with apple chips.

Meanwhile I preparef some store bought bbq sauce that I "deboned" and added with some AJ looking for glossy effect.
After 2 hours in the looked like this

Then I glazed them and let set for 20 min. next time a little more time would be better. They outcame like this

IMO, they looked good and they were really tasty. Skin was ALMOST bite through. I must work more on it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Nicely done Enrico! Very steady temp on the chicken, I'm guessing the temp drops on the grate was when you would open the Q?

Thats amazing looking lollipops! Did you cook the lollipops in the container the whole time? It has a great glaze! The whole bird looks great too!

Enrico - Nice looking cook . I noticed the Igrill2. Do you like it? Is it accurate? And can you calibrate it?

Enrico,
Chicken looks great! Glaze is a nice touch at the end. Do you think it added enough flavor with 20 minutes left in the cook?
I love your photography.

Awesome way to prepare chicken legs, Enrico! I've done lollipops before using wings, but never legs. I may have to borrow your idea.

Great looking bird Enrico. I have not seen that done with drumsticks before - only drumettes. That glaze looks perfect man...

Regards,

John
