Hoping for greatness, win or fail here we go. Using Case’s recent taco bowl thread recipe, making taco’s the way we like them.
Marinating for about 6 hours is a 1 pound flank steak.
Marinate is tequila, olive oil, water, cumin, fresh cut garlic, salt, pepper, and a bunch of Worcestershire? Sauce.
Stabbed it many times with a fork to try and help tenderize it.
Got the grill going early, it was too hot but still was able to roast veggies for a salsa.
Salsa is white onion, Roma tomatoes, garlic cloves, jalapeño, hot Hungarian peppers, limes and a bit of salt and pepper.
Wife made some guacamole while I was doing all that.....all the usual stuff with just fresh garlic.
Everything is garlic forward it seems, it so fresh and so good right now.
Followed case’s recipe on the bowls, everything looks good so far.
Pics below is where we are so far, the grill has the smallest fire still just staying hot until cook time.
Still to make is fire roasted just new to the shelves sweet corn on the cob, slice up some peppers and onions...maybe some shrooms, we will see if we want them or not. Have some crumbly cheese for the top of we decide it will work once everything is done. Omitted the cilantro in everything as the wife hates it, I love it but will use it for my guests next weekend.
This is the trial run for our guests next weekend....which is supposed to be the same meal but in taco form but may turn into bowl form.
Pics of the final hopefully greatness to follow.......and more tequila of course because it only make sense right now.

Easy 12 out of 10..top 3 meals in the pst couple years....all the right buttons were hit.
Taco bowl was cooked for 13 minutes, crispy on the edges, soft in the middle.
Try to make it the same next week is a trick too........I could eat that again no problem.

Looks great!
If you want to make your own crispy taco shells you can drape the tortilla over the rungs of a drying rack. If you want flat bottom shelled place them over 3 or 4 of the rungs.

While a lot of other cooks take more time and attention to details.........this did take some work but was able to do it in steps with some relax time in between.
Thanks for stopping by everyone.
I will be duplicating this cook just about exactly come Saturday I think, I have a couple friends of ours stopping in for dinner and I can have everything ready pretty much except the corn, steak and fried veggies which all take about 20 minutes to complete and can do that while they wait.
Left overs are tacos for tonight, still have all ingredients ready to prepare for this evening. Just need to cook up some chicken tenders, corn and veggies and toast the shells......maybe put a pic or 2 up here later tonight.

Left over guac and salsa made me make chicken tacos tonight.
Grilled chicken tenders, guac, salsa, veg, roasted corn, and crumbly cheese made great tacos tonight.
Toasted shells on the bbq too.
Tasty treats all over again.
10 out of 10 for sure....this stuff is the big leagues.
