Hi,

I'm Joe from Charlotte, NC and just got a WSM 18.5. I've grilled a lot but have never smoked food so I'm really excited to take this journey.

I'd like to thank all those who have contributed to this forum, which is great, to give me help and inspiration in starting out in the WSM world!

Smoking my first ribs tomorrow so wish me luck.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I live in south Charlotte near CMC South hospital.

Will definitely post some pics of my first smoke!
 
Had a successful cook yesterday but think the rub I used was a bit "heavy" for the pork ribs. Used Montreal Steak Seasoning and maybe had too much?

Anyway, I took many pics but now I have to figure out how to post them....anyone have any suggestions?..
 
Joe, if you don't already have an account with some place like Photo Bucket or Flicker and they aren't the only 2 go set up an account it's free, upload your pictures once you've uploaded them they will make either a code or link available that you can copy and paste into your post here. By the way welcome aboard and if you ever need anybody to sample your Q let me know
