Carne asada and black bean and avocado salsa!

Evening folks...had some Tri tip needing to be cooked so I flipped thru the Weber "way to grill" cook book and found something to Tri(page 67)....

I actually doctored up the meat recipe and used about 3/4 cups of mccormicks taco seasoning, a bit of a salt,pepper and garlic rub and 1 bottle of beer and some lime juice and let it soak for about 6 hours...made the black bean salsa right from the book...I just felt a marinate would work better then a rub in this case!

Ok so warmed up to about 37 today and really wet! Even my new BBQ buddy didn't want to be outside!

Started the steak direct

Then flipped!

After a good sear I poured the rest of the marinade on the meat and cooked it up indirect!
Here it is all plated up and ready for devastation!

Add another one that agrees that is one fantastic plate of food Morgan! Glad to see it "warmed up" some there. Still colder than I like. ;)
