Butcher paper.

I did a search for "24" X 1000' Red Colored Butcher Paper Roll" (this is the description at POS Paper) the same paper I bought and have been very happy with.
here's what I found:
http://www.thermalpaper4u.com/241000r.html

It appears to be the exact same paper as sold by POS, but it's only $37.28 with free shipping.
Can't vouch for the company, and can't see how they can sell it for that with free shipping to boot.

Here's what my paper looks like:

Correct! Treated butcher paper is the PLAIN 40lb butcher paper everyone is looking for.
A great deal for $18!
Considering the size and the weight of the roll, shipping cost of $20 is justifiable.

Bruno, when you receive your roll, you will LOVE it. However, with a roll of 700 feet, you'll may also want to purchase a roll holder/cutter.
I purchased an antique paper cutter to hold the large roll i bought, since it'll be seen everyday.

Thanks Jim!

That was quick, it showed up this morning. It definitely does not have wax.
Thanks, Jim.
My wife thinks I'm officially nuts now!

Good find! For some reason I went down the rabbit hole looking at this because some of the papers were the same with different distributors. As you mentioned that thermalpaper site has the exact picture as the POSpaper. Check this one out:

They are impossible to order from because you have to request a quote, but it's listed in an article by Daniel Vaughn the Texas Monthly Barbecue editor. In fact Oren-International is mentioned as manufacturing it for Alamo Food Equipment. The sizes are weird, largest is 20 inch but the picture is the exact image used at POSpaper and Thermalpaper4u. Maybe it's a stock image. Yes I know I'm being crazy. I went through this insanity of thinking I somehow had the wrong stuff. Grats Bruno on your paper! It's a ton of paper! Think outside the box for possible uses. I some times lay some down on the cutting board when seasoning to ease cleanup, etc. You can use it to serve people. Obviously its great for wrapping brisket. I wrapped some of my wife's presents one time. I don't think she appreciated that.
