Buffalo wings on skewers...

Great looking wings, Leo. Where on earth did you get those skewers? Those things are awesome, and I love the rebar for a support. I'm a little disappointed in myself that I hadn't thought of that, since i've got a ton of it laying around!

Great cook and beautiful wings!! It's wonderful to learn how others are cooking and I really like those skewers and use of the rebar. Very neat Lou!

Leo, can you please tell me how you prepared these? Rub, sauce or both? I need a good wing recipe.

Hi James... I brined the wings overnight with a crushed red pepper brine and in the morning I put them on skewers and left them uncovered in the fridge to help the skin dry out a little bit... I grilled them over the coals until I felt they were very close to being done and of course turning them constantly... I'm figuring it took about ten minutes for a skewer to cook... Then I moved them to the cool side of the grill and brushed on my sauce coating them generously, then back to the coals to stiffen it up a bit... I coated them twice... I did a total of six skewers and it didn't take all that long... It goes by quick because you're constantly turning them and switching sides of the grill if one side seems to be hotter than the other... I used Louisiana Wing sauce and Moore's wing sauce and a stick of butter... I'm at work now but when I get home today I will post a picture of the two... 3/4 cup of each and a stick of butter... I'm sorry it took so long to reply to your post... Hopefully this answer is what you've been looking for... Also, I got the skewers (Meat Sabers) on Amazon... :)
