Bruce's latest Rehab

I have a guy coming with his dad (I think the grill is for Dad) at 10:30 this morning. Two other guys who were interested after I set up a showing with the first guy. One of the two backups low balled me and I held firm, he kept raising his price and finally said final offer which I refused and then he came back with a higher offer. He is getting close, but while he was dicking around, the other guy committed to come out to see it and didn't mention anything about a discount.

I suppose the third burner is fine if you really intend to use it, but as Kevin says, I bet most people get very little use out of it. It just seems cool to a lot of grill buyers. But, I could see frying up some bacon or eggs or boiling/cooking a vegetable or whatever while grilling the main meal.

That looks like a pretty sweet deal there!
Yah, actually, it is probably a good deal. I am just very worried about that cabinet. It looks to me like the two side panels, back panel and bottom panel would all require some extensive gringing, sanding and painting.

The one I have for sale now is newer with the front controls and it had minimal rust on just the bottom panel. I only paid $50 for it. If I needed a 310, I would probably offer $40 and see where that got me. I have a parts grill available as well. But, I don't need any more rehab prospects yet. My next one will be a 1000 or Silver B.

I usually take a photo during the test burn just to assure potential buyers that the grill will get to max temp.

Sold, full price, less than 24 hours.

Now I get to turn around and buy a Rubbermaid Shed for the back yard. I can get some of the crap out the garage and make room for ......................................MORE GRILLS.

Let me know how you like that shed. I need another one myself. Between the boat and all the toys the kid has I am out of room

My brother has a barn and I'm totally jealous. We have a detached garage, which is WAY too small!

Bruce,

You are really cooking (grilling)!!!! Way to go! I hope I can be more like you and get something listed soon and see what's happening here in my area. I am absolutely out of the market, but I cannot believe how many more good deals keep springing up around here. It does worry me about trying to sell stuff, but time will tell. None of them claim to be restored.

Jon, look at it this way. If you are seeing good deals popping up like those, that means they are dumping those old broken down grills and upgrading. Let that upgrade be one of your grills. A lot of those folks know that a new E300 is going to cost them $700 plus tax at a minimum. If you can give them a great used one at less than half that, they will jump on it.

But, yah, it looks like you have some good rehab candidates in your neck of the woods. Time go get one listed. I have rehabbed and sold 4 three burner grills and a Q140 this spring already and our spring didn't start until April. I want to see how you fare. In the mean time, try to stay dry down there.
