Nothing quite like a nice plate of burnt ends.

For my 18 wsm, I separate the packer.

Flat on the top rack gets sliced. Point on the lower rack for burnt ends.

You never see points in supermarkets here in CA, at least I haven't. But those are for another day

Checkout your local WinCo, they sell Points, Flats and of course, Packers. I buy Points there and yeah, they're Choice or Select, but with a Point, that's not too much of a concern, since Points are naturally marbled
