Bringing New Life to an Old "Platypus"

Adding to this old thread as I saw this very cool "Stealth" mod version of the Platinum One Touch listed on FBM in Maryland:

I spotted this yesterday and told Josh this was exactly how I envisioned restoring one if I ever came across one! Amazing it popped up-maybe it's trying to tell me something! Wondered if that paint was the hammered metal type/color.

I had been toying with a really over the top Philippine mahogany set of tables, handles and powder coating the frame, custom wheels had not been thought of. Had I liked the way the thing actually cooked? I might have done some more serious work but, I was disappointed in the performance, especially with the Vortex, all that did was make the handle untouchable. Nephew will not have such projects in mind so, it will be better for him and make a (tiny) bit more space for me.
His 18” kettle wasn’t quite big enough for some of his needs, happy to help! He’s a good lad!
