Brats and Macaroni Salad

As promised here is my Brat cook from the other night. This has become my "go to" recipe for Brats. Done with Giarniniera and Pastrami, which I posted yesterday. The Brats themselves were fantastic, but was disappointed with my pictures. Live and learn. My wife made the macaroni salad.

Brats in a beer bath along with a small onion.



Did a medium chop on my giardiniera.



Got the Brats on the grill and brought to a boil, then simmered for about 20 minutes.



Out of the beer and on to some direct heat.



Finishing the grill. Got them a little darker than I like. Oh well, it's all good.



A couple slices of pastrami.



Some Swiss Cheese.





Ready for dinner.



This is really a tasty recipe. Broke one of my self imposed bbq rules on this cook. Try not to bbq when you're under the gun and running late. Never seems to come out quite right. Sorry for the picture quality too. Thanks for looking.

WOW!!!! Now I know why the Giants pulled out the win today, down by 4 going into the 9th :)
 
Cliff, they look great from my couch! Slice of pastrami is a great zest of flavor there.

I understand the rule for not "grilling under the gun"...but sometimes you get your heart set on cooking with fire. We've all been there. :o
