Bought a Genesis 1000 - having extreme difficulty with the regulator and hose.

Dave, I was just going through the same thing tonight trying to get that piece off. Finally just worked it off after pulling, pushing, clamping and so on... Thank you for this thread.

OK, then you need the 1/8" male NPT to 3/8" flare adapter.

Then order a $10 hose and regulator off amazon with that and you are set.

Bruce, thank you for your informative posts in this thread, they've been really helpful on my first rebuild.

I knew you were kidding but really think I should have said here is a picture of the bracket that Jeff took. I don't care if any of my pictures are used either by the way.

Is this the same as the elbow adapter on the first page? I noticed a crack in mine during a leak test... just when I was almost finished with my restoration. I already have the 1/8 NPT to 3/8 flare connection Bruce already mentioned.

Rick, I don't think MIP threads are the same as NPT. Make sure it is a 1/8" NPT male to 1/8" NPT female elbow adapter.

Here, this is what you are looking for: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074DTL1N4/?tag=tvwb-20

Or this might even be a better option for you. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MV64NFR/?tag=tvwb-20

Bruce: As always, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to answer even my most noobish of questions. Looking forward to posting my results on my first restore soon.
