If you really want a nice experience try doing that in an Embraer 175. Those are what I flew as a FA for the Delta subsidiary I flew for. Passengers gasping and praying. Me muttering under my breath "put this mudda*^ker down!" Feels worse than it is. Can't tell you how many times on some routes I would get to the hotel at end of the days legs and have bruises from my jump seat straps. Still so much fun can't believe I got paid for doing it. Would do it again in a heartbeat
The 175 is known for having a little bit of a "rougher ride" than other planes. A captain told me it's because of the very stiff wings they use.
That's an interesting video. Back in the 70s, I landed a Navy P3B at Heathrow. Because the airport is surrounded by the city the approach was hairy without the strong cross winds. Just another day at the world's greatest office - the cockpit.
I had one of those landings at Lambert in St Louis. After circling what seemed like forever, he finally went for it. I remember being able to see down the runway out my side window as he came in sideways. Touchdown was amazingly smooth though. Those guys are good.
