Best way to pull pork

I smoke the pork and my wife pulls it (we're a team:cool:). We had a pair of meat rakes but my son-in-law sent me a pair of Bear Claws and my wife MUCH prefers the Bear Claws. She also goes through it with her fingers to extract any of the "less than perfect" junk that you find in there. I wrap my butts (actually put them in a throw-a-way pan and tightly cover it with aluminum foil and save the juices). My wife defats the juices and mixes some of it with the pulled pork. Delicious, of course!

Here is how one of the masters pulls 30 pounds in like one minute. I have the claws but don't use them because I don't like it to look like angel hair pasta but of course my wife does. Why is that?

I pull by hand when it's cool enough into thumb size pieces and then mist with apple juice and add more rub to get the flavor I am looking for. Play around and keep cooking!

Ever since I stumbled across this video a year or two ago it has become my only way to pull pork. It adds to the show if you are doing a public or private event.

Then there's The Porkinator

There are a lot of versions out there with different names that you use your hand drill with. Here's another

No disrespect to King Lil there... but it's called "pulled" pork... not chopped. I get it though.

I think for a 10 butts or less... the claws work well. But when you start doing more than that it does become a bit of a hassle and it actually starts wearing you out a bit after long night of smoking. I'm about to order the drill thing just to see how it works. I think it's just like anything... if you overdo it you'll just get mince meat. Moderation is the key.
