Bacon for bread exchange

Friends came for a visit yesterday, they brought us some fresh baked Bosnian lepinja (pita) bread from a bakery near where they live.
I sent them home with some of my cinnamon bacon.
A very worthy trade, the bread made a killer McBob!

That pita looks tasty, almost like a croissant but likely, more chew to the bite.

And of course, I found a recipe for it And with that much yeast in only 2C of flour, it's gonna rise sky high, just like your pic Bob.

It's a very light airy sourdough type bread.
My friend said it's like they took a bicycle pump and pumped it full of air.
I should have taken a pic before cutting, it looked like this:

I can imagine all kinds of good sandwiches on that bread, but of course, nothing beats a McBob!
