Are there any dealers who offer a discount on Weber Q's, specifically the 1200.

The side tables (yes, there's a possibility of adding a pair to my 1000) and taller lid with the thermometer, (and yes, I installed one in my 1000) make me consider getting one. At $260 shipped from most sellers, it's not silly money but I have a lot of personal issues with paying retail... ;)
 
I would never pay retail for a Q grill. They can be had for 1/5th the price or less used. Maybe a good cleaning and some new grates are all that most require to get back to prime cooking condition. Maybe some painting if you are up to it.

Yeah but few of you guys live in small town Idaho. It's rare to find good stuff locally. I've looked. I did find I could save a little on a new, shipped free, grill on ebay but I'm in no hurry to change from the 1000 as I've just barely begun to use it and, honestly, the thermometer was the main feature I was missing. The taller lid and side shelves would really just be a bonus. If I catch something on craigslist locally, I may take advantage of that but more and more seems to be going to FB marketplace and I won't have anything to do with FB. I sure won't register so I can shop it. In the end, I'll probably just continue to use the Q1000. While I didn't mind doing a little work on my Silver B, I'm not really a shop guy. These days, most work I need done is hired out. A luxury of aging (?) and having the spare money to do it, I suppose. ;)

Lots of good deals on FB. I browse regularly for Q grills and I come across 1200’s frequently at less than $100. One was offered for free a couple weeks ago.
 
I have a red Q220 sitting in my back garage. Haven't even got to it yet. Lid is peeling, needs a repaint but it's really clean and the grate is still in really nice shape. Wife of all people "picked" it for me. Been so busy I just realized it's been back in that other garage over a year :D I guess I should take it out and give it a "fire" see what I got

Same here in Costa Rica as finding a good used Q Grill is less likely running into a polar bear. Last month I purchaed the WeberQ 1200 new from a local Weber Authorized Dealership for around $315.

I thought Costa Rica was supposed to be less expensive to live than the States. Maybe you make up for it in other areas?
 
There was a True Value near me selling the Q1200 with a Chicago Cubs logo for $150 each. It took them quite a while to get rid of them.
 
Yah, true, but we are fairly close to Chicago and I think they bought a huge load of them right after the Cubs won the world series in 2016. I am guessing the bet didn't pay off and they had trouble selling them and wound up heavily discounting them a couple years later. I do know the same store sold off a Weber Ranch Kettle (New) for $600. They had it for sale for months before the add disappeared. If I knew more about them at the time, I would have bought that for sure and resold it.
