Anyone try rotisserie butt?

I have a small 6.7lb butt defrosting for the weekend
Considering spinning it on the rotisserie
Have you tried this before?

Many years ago, all I remember is I had a heck of a time keeping it from falling apart as it got close to being done and I was going for slicing temp not PP.

I have and I do sliced pork instead of pulled pork. I found I actually favor sliced butt over pulled. I think I cooked to 180. Can't remember.

I think everything's better on the roti. I want to try a brisket.

No, but I made my first home made chili of the season today and would trade you a bowl for a pulled pork sandwich! The rotiss sound great, have never seen it done that way yet.

lookin' at the chunk I have... its gonna be tricky.... gotta bone it.
I like the sliced variety of pork.... seen some GREAT results from some folks that have done it...
just got more work to do than I wanted to do/planned to do...

Thanks guys. That was probably the best butt I cooked. Used some Texas Grand Champion rub which is unreal on pork.
Good luck Jim but with seeing all your cooks, you'll knock it out the park.
