Anyone ever do this when you run out of gas when it's ALMOST done?

Needed maybe another 20 minutes of smoke. Walked out to check on it and temp was below 200 and dropping.

Crap.

Was gonna throw in the oven for a few minutes, then realized I had the woodstove cranking. So I grabed a hunk and threw it on and split up a little bit of oak kindling and made a little bonfire next to the leg quarters.

Temp is back up to about 250.

Gauge says it still has a 1/4 tank. Could it have something to do with it being about 25 degrees out?

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Looks like it might be a nice save. That's why I love my NG E320 that bottle never runs out of gas.

First thing is that those mechanical gauges on the grills are less accurate than the temp gauges on the lid. Second thing is that I would highly suggest a second tank. When one runs out, even mid cook, just swap them out, then make it a point to get the other one filled in the next couple days so you always a full spare. Third thing is that you forgot my dinner invitation.
