I joined in 2008 when I was in the running to win a WSM at work. I wanted to see if it was worth it and heck yeah is it!

Just found this old post. So glad to see most of the posters are on this site right now. What is funny is, Steve, who started this thread, has not been around since Jan. Let's hope he is ok.
Forgot to add, I have an anniversary coming up soon. I joined Nov. 10, 2016. Yes, 6 happy years here.

I'm still around but a lot has happened in my life over the past 2 years. My wife of 31 years passed away, I had a stroke, Was forced to retire and last summer I had a Trans-Metatarsal Amputation of my right foot. I don't get the opportunity to do much outdoor cooking anymore but I hope to get back to it soon. Please, no sympathy reply's. I'm hanging in there

I joined almost 4 years ago at 6/21.
I appreciate the members and the knowledge they offer up.

I have some friends and family members that will not share favorite recipes.
My Mom will share but only enough to make a lesser meal.
She some how always seems to forget that special step to take the meal up a level.
Same goes with a couple bbq friends and the wife won’t offer up her famous sourdough spinach dip thingy.
I have never understood that type of insecurity or whatever that is called.
It must be a chick thing 😾.
I don’t see any of that selfishness here.
