Steak came out great - actually my wife’s first choice for grilling. And, those bbqparts.com stainless rod grates look first class to me.

One nice thing about those grates vs. the Qlimetal ones (which are also very nice) is the lack of a middle support bar. You can clean those readily with a Chargon grate tool.

Some people would fret over the uneven cooking on the grill. Don't. Now that you know where the hot/cool spots are, just cook accordingly. Maybe turn the back burner down a little if you want to.
That Sirloin looks great
Thanks, uneven heating doesn’t bother me, as long as it maps easy to cook with. Now I know back middle half is my seering spot. I’ll figure it out with chicken and going for indirect

That is the way to do it Jeffrey. Learn and know your tools and use them accordingly to get the best results from them.

Thanks. My wife and kids’ first choice as well - even the 9 month old. the grates worked out excellent. Definitely feels like an upgrade after using my father’s silver A with the stamped stainless steel (which I also like)

I also bought the chargon based on comments here and my fear of giving food with a piece of steel bristle in it To my family or guests. Do you use anything else to clean or just the chargon?

Just chargon is all you need. If you want, you can use other devices like a vinyl bristle brush, but you are probably just wasting time. As you use the chargon tool, you will learn how to use it at different angles that will allow you to get the sides clean as well. If you want, you can flip the grates and easily clean the underside as well. The Chargon is a time saver as well.
