The Comal was a great purchase, and my son had it figured out quite quickly. The co-mingling of flavors was off the chart. Best purchase in 2014 (and for < $100) :)

Nice run - I especially like the torpedo level used as a shim!

That level has come in very handy for numerous projects, and is always up for any job that comes it's way.

I have those charcoal bins that you can seperate to do indirect cook with. I kept them together in the center so that the heat was directed to the center hump. Maybe two dozen charcoals total. We started with the bottom vent wide open, but closed it 2/3rds
 
Great looking plate. Your son is all over that thing. That's a lot of different elements to keep an eye on at once. Good for him, and the rest of the family that gets to enjoy it.
