A new Single Malt I found

So today while perusing the Single Malts at Costco (always looking for the next great bargain find) :D Anyway I came across this one from a distillery named Talisker. Finished in Amoroso Sherry casks. (whatever amoroso is)

Hey that is great. I will taste it tomorrow. And given how Costco rotates stocks in and out, if I end up really liking it I'll grab a second bottle. It's one thing I really hate about Costco. They don't even consistently carry their own product(s). I went there and was needing to buy another bag of the Kirkland Espresso Blend. And of course.............................not carried......................AGAIN :mad:
Thankfully I was able to pick up 2 bags of the Cameron's Velvet Moon, which is also a VERY nice bean
 
Wish Costco could sell liquor here in MA
For years I have been drinking McClellands Islay single malt scotch in 1.75 bottles but unfortunately they stopped making it a couple of years ago. Essentially it is 5 year old Bowmore. Bowmore was bought out by Suntory....
 
I no longer drink alcohol.
One thing I still enjoy doing is shopping for good bottles for company and cooking.

I sure do miss that peaty tasting single malt, the whisky tours we used to do and the amazing open bar my wife’s boss does for parties at his country club.

I think I’m getting thirsty now.
 
OK giving it a try. It's REALLY good. Smokey and peaty with a hint of sweetness. It's not a real light bodied scotch. But oh boy it punches WAY above it's $$$ weight. Very pleased with it. Gonna grab a second bottle next time I go to Costco

Sounds and looks good! I wish our Costco was allowed to sell alcohol. That’s a nice ice sphere, does your refrigerator make craft ice or is it from a mold? I’ve recently become obsessed with making clear ice for my cocktails using directional freezing. I have molds for 1” and 2” cubes, need to get one for spheres.

I bought these items at Costco https://www.tovolo.com/sphere-ice-molds-s2-charcoal they have sets of 4 for $13.99. I bought 3 sets LOL. Gave one to son in law
