A John Solak recipe....

We saw John Solak entry for the carne asada throwdown and it look delicious we had to make it....
I had the night off and Maribel took charge of the grill...

For entertainment we were watching some boxing...

She started with making some beans.. Chorizo cooked down.

Added chopped onion...

Then the beans we had joined the fun. Once they got nice and hot she smashed them.

Maribel made the carne asada tacos and put them in oil...

Plated with rice and beans. This was so good...

Another great looking meal! You guys are killin it lately....when you do chorizo like that , do you buy ground chorizo (which I've never seen) or do you bust open a sausage and mash it up to cook? Those beans look amazing , by the way.
