I will definitely be heading out to meet you all next year! That was an awesome event. Chris, your write up made me feel like I was right there.
 
For those TVWBB members in the San Diego area...
On September 27th, Mission Beach is holding its Centennial Party which includes a KCBS Pro BBQ Competition !
No information, at this time, who is going to be there. It will be a little more 'compact' than Pechanga.
The Beach and BBQ - What could be better !

A little farther up the coast, Dana Point is hosting a KCBS Pro BBQ Competition on October 4th.
If you thought Pechanga was large, wait until you see this one. Last year there were 100 teams !

Even further up the coast, Huntington Beach will be the site of a 2 day KCBS Pro BBQ Competition on August 9th and 10th.
Not only BBQ, but also Watermelon !!! Also a Kid's Que !!!

And a little inland from Oceanside, Vista is the site of their annual Vista BBQ Classic on August 25th and 26th.

I've never been to a competition but after Chris's detailed description, I feel as if I'd been there myself. What fun for all and what a great group of people. It was nice seeing so many of my favorite posters at TVWBB there.

Vista is a super venue for those members in the San Diego area. Loads of activities for the whole family.
We will stop by to say hi after spending some time (12-2pm) in the shade ;)
