The entire frame is stainless steel. All of the internals are stainless steel. The bottom panel under the grill is sheet aluminum so there is virtually no worries about rust anywhere on this grill. The burners are Stainless Steel, the flavorizer bars are new 16 gauge 304 Stainless stainless steel. It also has new Premium Solid Rod 9mm 304 Stainless Steel cooking grates. It has a new igniter, a new grease pan, a new drip pan and liner.

I don't remember the brand. They were on sale a couple years ago for CHEAP. I should have bought a half dozen more.

They were like $45 per set. I got them last summer.

They are $73 now. Still a good price for 304 9mm SS grates.
 
I had similar thoughts for black knobs and plastic end caps for the one I’ve got in the flip hopper. I’ve got a scratched up temp bezel I’m thinking about painting black just to see how it would look. On a black lid or an SS lid.
 
I have been enjoying doing blackout grills also. I'll be interested in how your black and blue looks when finished. I'm sure it will be great! I'm part way through my black and blue grill it's different though and won't be done for a while. Making forever grills is super cool!!
