Might be a stupid ? But all my bbq gloves I burn though fast how these hold up. Like grabbing hot grates and charcoal baskets

Those things should last a lot longer than most pairs of BBQ gloves. Welded materials get MUCH hotter and are more rough on gloves than even cooking grates.

I've got a pair of welding gloves (different brand than these) that I've been using for BBQ for about 5 years and still going strong. It doesn't totally block the heat, but does a great job. I can pickup a regular stock grate that's had heat to it long enough to lift and move it. However.... a hot Hunsaker griddle will still burn the crap out of you even with these style gloves.

I bought these because they were such a good deal. Now I don't have to move the gloves around, have one for each grill!
