I pulled the trigger and got the Gabby Grill for the 14" WSM.
So there was a bit of a shipping mishap with Gabby #1. There also was a slight manufacturing flaw. So I sent an email to Gabby Grill and was presently surprised to get an almost immediate response from Junior. Lickity split no questions asked a second Gabby Grill was on it way. Was told to keep Gabby Grill #1. So now I have two. Wonder if they multiply if you cook on them after midnight?
For customer service I give Gabby Grills an A+ rating. Stuff happens and they stood behind their product.
Gabby grill #2 arrive unscathed and in perfect working order.
So Gabby grill #1 looked like UPS threw it from the back of the truck to the front when loading it. It had busted through the box in multiple places. Cosmetic damage fro the most part.
The manufactures defect was in the guide rails at the base the rails measured 13" and at the top 13 3/4". So as the grate gets closer to the top the guides on the grate slip out and the grate goes swinging around. I will fix this by bending out the guides on each side of the grate so they flare out a bit more and stay in the rails.
A few things to note. This will fit the Smokey Joe perfectly. I found with the 14" WSM that the upper mounting screws for the legs stick in to the pit too much and do not allow the gabby grill to fit. It teeters on the nuts. I could've gone out and bought new bolts and nuts but decided to just flip them around and put the nut on the outside of the pit. I was lazy and didn't bother to de-grease the nuts! With that quick change the grill fits perfectly. Another cool feature is the gabby grill fits perfectly on my Ranger Model SoloStove! I think I have a new camp grill set up.
UPS driver even noted on the box that it was damaged in transit. Part of Base, Handle, and top rail were out of box at different times.
Leg nuts not allowing grill to seat properly.
Switched nuts inside out, problem solved.
Just for fun!

Gabby #2 and the first cook.
I have to admit that I didn't get great results on the outside of the steaks. Completely my fault. I was multi tasking making a soup in the house and grilling these outside. Lost track of time, looked out and saw the dreaded flames encircling the steaks! Crap! So no perfect sear marks just one big black one! The meat did cook perfectly on the inside to my liking. Marinated in Henderson's Relish and dusted with salt and pepper.
