Plum Wood for Smoking

Does anyone have experience using plum wood for smoking pork butt or ribs? I routinely use apple or cherry.

Thanks,

Plum, like other fruit woods, is mild and very nice.
Like all smoke wood, it's best when not too green or overly seasoned.

I scored 3 plum trees a few years back. I like it better with beef personally but have used on pork when the apple wood supply ran low. From my experience plum works best when mixed with other woods. Plum and peach on beef. Plum and cherry on chicken and plum with apple, nectarine or apricot on pork. Cooking a 13 lbs brisket right now and have a mix of plum and peach wood going...
