Did they mention which firmware version they used that did work? I have an old Stoker without WiFi and I use a wireless router out by the smoker. I'd love to be able to use the app on my phone or tablet when I don't have access to a laptop to just use StokerLog.

I melted 2 pit probes in the past. You can send them back to Rock's BBQ and they will replace the wiring (I think I was quoted $25-35). I ended up just getting a new pit probe but I kept the old ones to have as a backup (they still work -- they just look creepy with the silicone hanging off).

Another recommendation for Stoker. I have the older version (non-wireless) so at home, I use a wireless bridge to get the Stoker connected to my home network. That way if I go to a friend's house to go swim, I can set up StokerLog to send me text messages every 15 minutes (with the graph)...

The 5cfm fan has no problem being run on a 25' stereo headphone extension cable. Just have to make sure to plug the extension directly into the Stoker box and not into a splitter (where the fan extension and temp probes would then be on the same port on the Stoker). But any good stereo...
