    Weber bug zapper on Craigslist

Saw this today if anyone is in western ny. I don’t know if it’s a good price, but I know there are collectors here that might be interested. https://rochester.craigslist.org/for/d/geneseo-weber-the-web-bug-zapper/7164748152.html

Jumbo Joe Carry Bag or Case

I got the cover/case today and it fits the grill pretty good. As a carry bag, the Weber handle sticks up out of the bag, but it carries the grill well, and should work fine to keep charcoal, soot, and grease off my camper. As a cover it fits good and covers the entire grill. The drawstring...

Jumbo Joe Carry Bag or Case

I just ordered this today. It is both a cover and carry bag. In one of the photos it shows a Jumbo Joe inside (there are also contradicting dimensions...), and in the Q&A's people say it fits the Jumbo Joe. I'll let you know when I get it...

18” WSM with only one cooking grate?

you could search Weber grill schematics on their site to see if it came with a second grate. I would think it did but I’m not an expert. https://www.weber.com/US/en/help/schematics/

Scored a Q2000 with cart and tank for $15 on Craigslist!

I haven’t really had a chance to work on it, but it doesn’t look like the electric igniter, and I don’t see anything that opens up to change the battery. Looks like piezo. Hopefully I’ll have so time this weekend to play around with it a little. Thanks for all the info.

Scored a Q2000 with cart and tank for $15 on Craigslist!

I was on the Weber site this morning and it said the igniters are battery operated. I figured they were piezo igniters, but I’ll check the battery today. I searched the q grill section of the forum for grate cleaning and saw some suggestions to use a wire cup brush with an angle grinder...

Scored a Q2000 with cart and tank for $15 on Craigslist!

It’s in pretty good condition, just needs a new igniter, the little metal support bar under one of the wings, and a good cleaning. There is probably $15 worth of propane left in the tank! Any tips to properly clean the grate would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Kingsford question

I usually over stock up when the 2 packs go on sale so I have bags that are a few years old and I’ve never noticed a difference. Can’t imagine it goes bad if it’s kept dry. Do you live in a humid climate? It’s possible your concrete floor holds a little moisture, concrete is porous and can get...

    Sear station with $100?

I have the sear burner on my Genesis E-330, and I don’t use it that often. That being said, it’s a nice feature to have when you want to cook something really with really high heat (I use it for thin cuts like flank steak so I can get a good crust without over cooking). It also is nice when...

    Rusting Grates

I don’t think you can really prevent it, unless you store them inside. You can prolong it from getting bad, by keeping the grill clean and dry when not in use. I try to keep my grates oiled with vegetable oil as well, seems to help. I oil before I put my food on, and whenever I clean the grates.

    Smoker vs. Oven

I sometimes use the oven when I foil, especially if my charcoal is running low or crappy weather, but I always finish it on the grill. I’ve never noticed any difference in the final product.

Substitute for Performer burner retaining clip?

The exact same thing happened to me! Lost it in the grass and spent the next 15 minutes combing the grass with a rolling magnetic sweeper. They’re either made of brass and non-ferrous or it got really tangled up in the grass because i never found it.

First Time Gas User- Sear Burner Question

I turn it off when I’m done searing, then depending on the thickness of the meat, either finish it off on the regular burners, or for thicker cuts move it to the other side with the burner off and finish it with indirect heat until it comes to temperature. You don’t have to turn it off but if...
