Wings on the grill or WSM?

I recommend putting them on the grill. If you have a vortex, then use it. If not, just setup your kettle for two zone. Go indirect FIRST, then crisp up the skin on the direct heat to finish them off.

Starting my own project - Thermoworks, Arduino, Pi

This. The Heatermeter is a great device and a worthwhile project. If that doesn't scratch the itch, then at least use it as a starting point and improve upon it. Perhaps code up something that will allow it to control multiple pits.

    Lump other than Royal Oak?

I've used RO, Carbon Del Sur, Cowboy and some others. Carbon Del Sur is $9.99/20lb bag and it works well enough for me.

    Temperature Issues - Help!

First, I'd check to ensure that your thermometer is accurate. Are you getting those high temp readings from the dome thermometer? I've had my 22.5 for several years also, and that's the issue that I've run into.

    Brisket cook

I did a brisket this weekend using my HeaterMeter on my Primo Oval XL. This cook was so effortless, and the results so amazing that I almost can't believe it. The temp stayed within less than a degree difference from what it was set all night long, I wrapped my brisket it foil, raised the temp...

    Power problem

Glad it worked out for you! I'm guessing that was a bit scary. Was your first power supply defective or underpowered?
