Larry, would that cause flame issues? Pushing the same amount of gas into half a burner seems like it would result in bigger flames.

I agree, it is probably going to be fairly labor intensive and a bit expensive, but what a cool grill to have sitting and ready for use on the back deck. I am looking forward to your build thread. Will you be working on it during the winter, or is it going to wait until spring?

Yep, newer grills are not build for the long haul. Partially by design I am afraid. But all the electronics don't help either.

No, really quite a few people see the quality in the grills, but they don't want to deal with rehabbing them. Soo many Weber's I pick up could be brought back to good working order with a $50 in parts and a half hour of cleaning. They just don't know how or don't want to deal with it.

Well, it if tastes half as good as it looks, I think you have a winner there. Throw in some tortillas, guac and a little sour cream, refried beans and cheese and I would be in heaven.

Those grills have a whole lot more internal air heated up than a Gold C. When you open that hood it is therefore releasing much more heated air. It is like comparing the heat released when opening a Q1000 grill to that of your gold C. I am sure the Gold would seem quite a bit hotter than the...

It can be done with a little modification to the frame.

Good idea Jon on the Summit, but maybe they should just go the extra mile and make it the rebirth of the Vieluxe. One grill to rule them all.

I don't ever remember seeing one before and I have seen a LOT of Weber FB adds. But it does look to be very factory.
