    Rack of Lamb

Interesting note on this mention of a get together...with a sad ending. After I made this post, I went over to the SMF forum, which I do rarely. Before my little adventure to Australia, a fellow there Gary (scarbelly) from Fallbrook organised a weekend get together up at lake skinner in early...

    Need Help..... getting frustrated

My rule of thumb is to never move the vents more than 1/8" at any one time, and dont look at the temp until you drink a cold pint. (20 minutes). It's been said...same things we all had to learn.

    When/what are you getting?

This will be the 1st year in maybe 30 that I wont be doing one on the kettle, or at all. My whole extended family has requested my beef ribs instead, so that's what it'll be...massive quantities of Dino bones!!

    Switching from kettle to smoker

Unless you have a LARGE family the 18.5 is the way to go....smaller footprint, easier to use, takes $3 less fuel every time you use it! I use mine twice a week and can cook for a party of 15 on it easily. Just sayin'

I'm speachless. The guy at the maket sold my wife a loin when I sent her for a butt. I sent her butt back to return the loin, as I couldn't see the forest for the trees! Wow, great looking cooks!

    bucket for turkey brining

I get those square ones from my local sushi bar...they get wasabi and gari-(pickled ginger) in them. When I get them they are full of used soybean fryer oil with which I filter and use to power my M-B. I've got a long daily commute.
