    Grilled Fried Chicken

Oh yes! I read a thread last week on this board regarding making fried chicken on a grill. I was going to do it over fire, but I was late from work so I thought I'd try it on the Weber gas. My god, it was good. I can't believe how close it was to deep fried. Moist chicken, crispy skin, the...

Propane vs Natural Gas Experiences Requested

No kidding. I did exaggerate though; it was $64.50 + $18.94 shipping.

Propane vs Natural Gas Experiences Requested

Well, some good info here and in another thread converting from NG to propane from LM. I could try and sell my grill but I think I'd get killed on the price. The eBay kit only contained 4 orifices and a real crappy wrench for $70. Looks like I'll stick with propane for now, and run a gas line...

Propane vs Natural Gas Experiences Requested

Which is fine. Really, what could go wrong that I'd have to ship the entire grill back to Weber or that I couldn't change back. It is a pretty simple design. I'm not worried about them giving me a hassle if I returned some rusted out flavorizer bars. It is a bit of a joke that they no longer...

Propane vs Natural Gas Experiences Requested

Alright, some good information here guys. LMichaels, I asked this question due to all the BS found online. I wanted real world experiences and answers. It won't be a big deal to run a NG line to my grill; the harder part will be getting my hands on the Weber conversion kit. I found some on Ebay...

    Just curious

I close all vents when done and scavenge the large pieces after.

    Kettle fried chicken

I haven't been here for awhile. I'm glad I stopped by-this is something I'm going to try next week.

Propane vs Natural Gas Experiences Requested

Hey guys. I am looking at a NG conversion for my Genesis II on Ebay. I have done a bit of reading and it would appear that NG doesn't run as hot as propane. I can't see this being a noticeable difference other than possibly taking a little longer to heat up. For those that have run both fuel, is...

    Genesis II SE-410 Ordered!!

I picked mine up last fall (Crimson red lid to match my truck-go figure). This grill is awesome when you have a large group of people over. It heats up quick and has very even heat. If you get the rotisserie for it, watch where you place the meat as the shaft will bend. Enjoy.

Genesis II NG Grill Owners Please Enter > Need help

It sounds like the grill was put together incorrectly. Post a pic of what you have. This is one reason that I hesitated in going with a Weber is that they will not sell you the parts to covert over to NG.

Why can't you just relocate the ignition module? The wires on mine are pretty long which would allow me to position the module almost anywhere. Actually thinking about it, you mounted the module on the inside, over the cart, right? If I would remove the front side cover, I can pull the propane...

    Genesis II SE-410 rotisserie/customer service

After the burner went in my 7 year old Napoleon grill (which often was a little too small for what I was grilling) I decided to open the wallet and buy a new SE-410 grill. This thing is awesome. I also bought a rotisserie as I like to do whole chickens this way. When installing the motor bracket...

    First Time Using Royal Oak

I've always had great success with Royal Oak briquettes, though I have noticed that they take awhile to light off one another. I've always assumed that was typical of charcoal. Next time I'll try Kingsford, though it is $5 more per bag.

    Bacon made easy

Wow. Can't remember the last time I read a thread this long in one sitting. Surprisingly, I sure could go for a bacon sandwich. I need to hunt down a pork belly and some TQ this weekend. I've always wanted to make bacon, but wasn't sure how to go about it. Great thread.

    Hello from Delta BC

Hi everyone. I found this site years ago and bought a Weber Smokey Mountain. I use it at least once a month, though winter smoking can be difficult. I've done brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken. It was a bit of a struggle at first to figure out cooking times and the amount of wood to use...
