How many bbq with a kettle vs the wsm?

Mirroring many others----I own several kettles including a performer platinum but prefer my WSM for longer smokes. I have done ribs on the kettles but prefer them on the WSM. I do use my kettles for short smokes like tri tips, salmon, wings, fatties, and ABT's

    Breaking in the Mastertouch

Inaugural cook tonight, nothing big just some little poor man's rib eyes (chuck eyes). Seasoned with Lawry's season salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Wifey made up a veggie mix on the cast iron inside. Offered to grill it but she wanted to cook inside and help. Onions...

I meant the ash bowl holder, not the lid holder..... Apparently I don't need to remove it. It's a wing nut assembly, not "H".

Ahhhhh master touch! Cool! Those old rusted out one touch systems a pain to replace? What's the trick in getting the bowl holder off?

Been a while since I posted. Good to be back. Picked this up off the local CL for $30. Needs new grates and one touch system piece. Ash bowl and bowl mount are in good shape. Needs Brian's wood handles too. Haven't seen one like this without a table? What gives? Did they do the gold...

Quick pizza again---this is for you Tony R. !

A couple small mesquite chunks (one on each grate hinge side) and it is a perfect amount of wood smoke flavoring IMO. Justin----- store bought dough--- didn't have time to make any :D

Quick pizza again---this is for you Tony R. !

Yeah get a stone for sure! I got a cheap brinkmann pizza stone At Home Depot and it has worked well. I didn't show all the pizza prep----- did dough, sauce, cheese, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, then more cheese and then half of top with jalapeños . Wifey doesn't like japs on pizza.....

Quick pizza again---this is for you Tony R. !

I told Tony R. I would post pics of my next pizza cook of my setup. So here we go! Cooked at 350 indirect on a stone for 18 minutes with kingsford blue and mesquite chunks. Not saying this is the best setup (I haven't tried any others) but it consistently works for me! Thanks fer lookin...

    Simple chicken breasts and taters

Didn't have too much time to cook tonight. Threw some chicken breasts and taters on the '69 daisy wheel redhead that I restored late last year. Cooked with kingsford blue. One breast was rubbed with penzey's chicken rub and one with just s&p. seared both sides first and then moved away from...
