New The Huntsman Kettle Kamado Grill from Spider coming.

GIVING UP After getting a talking to because I suggested using my Huntsman to grill pork chops last Sunday, I finally have thrown in the towel. My wife just cannot tolerate charcoal grilled food, so there is just no sense in me owning a high-end charcoal grill to just use a few times for...

Why you want a Platinum 2nd Generation Summit, not a Gold

You can ask, but you better plan to keep looking at it on your deck🤣!

    Silver C, Green.

I am with Cody. Why not give it a good shot? If it fails, you at least gained some good experience.

Why you want a Platinum 2nd Generation Summit, not a Gold

Saw this ad that tells it all: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1240243880778864/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A0886d393-8ffb-4314-bd14-2f5e923ea4bc

    Weber Parts Deals

I am thinking it would take 4. If that, the bargain isn't so great.

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

I am with Larry and admire the effort. I think even a little gray paint and maybe filler to cover the screws would go a long way. Better as is, than throwing away a $900 grill. Although this happens to some old Genesis grills, this does seem to underscore just how thin the newer fireboxes are.

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

Yeah, I am impressed and pulling for your idea to work👍!

Tell me about this six burner Summit Platinum

I have a place in my heart for those Platinum 2nd generation Summits. Some weak points, but a real 304 stainless frame and cabinetry. The broken castings are what would give me the greatest concern. No way are you going to be able to fix that, I would think. I also doubt a new replacement can be...

I will just leave this here

The main grates do look very thin. Find for low and slow BBQ I suppose. A brief look at a long review suggests that the gas grilling aspect is a little underpowered. https://www.angrybbq.com/all-new-camp-chef-apex-series-quick-take-review/

I will just leave this here

That Camp Chef kind of got pushed to the back with the Ninja FlexFlame and Recteq's new high heat double-firepot pellet grill. I would like to look at some reviews of this Camp Chef - not that I have $1,250 to spare!

I have always wanted a crimson - not brick red - sidewinder.

I will just leave this here

Yeah, but more tempting...We just have to wait a couple more years before these start popping up used - at typically way lower prices. Other than the flimsy shelves, the 2800N+ is a definite improvement over the 2200 model. I would still like to know if they will fit in the older 200/2000 carts.

    Genesis Platinum 1000 Restoration

That’s a great candidate, Alex! Glad you are finding help here on TVWBB. You can clean and repaint the tank scale. If you need decals, I sell those very reasonably. My suggestion is you look at the resources here, especially the how to videos, for some great tips. https://tvwbb.com/tags/how-to/

    Replacing a 310 Genesis cookbox with 330

Way to go, DanHoo! You are being generous and very helpful; it's what makes TVWBB a great place!

    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

I was in Kansas City earlier this week, and a barbecue and grill store there called Smoke N Fire had a huge selection of Webers, including Searwoods. My local Ace here in Indiana had the smaller model on display, as did the Rural King in Terre Haute, but they were apparently sold and not...
