    WSM as a Grill

I found the best method to convert the WSM for grilling is to follow weber's instructions that comes with the smoker. All you need to do is remove the bottom cooking rack and replace with the coal grate. Put your hot coals on and then cook using the top grate.

Smoked roast beef... parrothead style.. pics included.

Looks very good! I am planning to do a roast next weekend. I was thinking of just injecting it with beef broth and letting it marinate in beef broth and onions the night before. Then just put some salt and pepper on it right before it goes onto the smoker, use 3 chunks of mesquitte and cook...

    Kingsford Blue vs Champion

I also use the blue and notice I run hotter then I would like. My standard is 1 full lit weber chimney of coal poured over 1 full unlit chimney with 3 chunks of wood between. I usually see temps around 300 at the start and with all vents closed it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours before I see the...

    Pork Loin help!

I have a 1.5lb prok loin and am wondering about how many hours I should expect for it to reach 145 if smoking it at about 240.

    Pork Loin

    Pork Loin

I found a recipe for a bacon drapped pork loin that I want to try, but do not know what internal temperature i should cook it to. I have read 145 and 170. Isn't 145 a bit rare for pork? I was thinking between 170 and 175 and it should still be juicy especially with the bacon drapped on it and...

    BBQ Pitmasters

I actually like how they changed the format, because we get to see so many different teams and so many diffrent varaiations of a cook. I can't wait for the finale!

    Great cookout!

This was acutally only my second cook using the WSM as a smoker. I have also done 2 grills with it though. I only got pictures of it with the apples, bacon and beans on the smoker. I also dont know how to post pictures on here.

    Great cookout!

I had a great day with the wsm today! I made chicken thighs with a homemeade bourban bbq sauce, fresh green beans from the garden, french bread with onion, bacon and swiss cheese, and roasted apples with a coconut caramel sauce. And it was all made on my WSM!

Amir, I downloaded your stoker log and seem to like it, but can you please explain to me how the keep warm function works? I also do not understand what the fuel usage is?

    Injector

I am looking for a meat injector kit and wondering if anyone has suggestions. I want one that will last many years, is easy to clean, has a long needle to deeply penetrate the meat, and prefer stainless steal.

    Home built control system

Amir, With the Guru you can buy a low cost wireless USB interface and that can go to any computer in your home or trailer if at a competition. If you so desire to see it across town you can just access that computer from your phone. And I do not believe the stocker is capable of changing the...

The BEST Grilled steaks I have ever had!

I used my 18.5" WSM as a grill for the first time, just using the simple grill setup suggested in the owners manual, and they were amazing! I did throw in 2 small chunks of mesquite for a little added flavor. It cooked perfectly, thanks Weber!

    Home built control system

I just got done building a custom 20 zone sprinkler controller with the same small touch screen! It also controls all of his outdoor lighting, and he is having me add a slip and slide button on the main page for the kids! I love automation, fun stuff! Just wish I could afford to build more...
