    Help getting started

A heavy duty mixer is basically a mixer built for more load when compared to a low cost hand held mixer. I will look into this, thanks again for the help. Are there any good books I should buy to help get me going that might list equipment and have some beginner recipes?

    Help getting started

Thanks guys. I have been thinking of getting a heavy duty mixer anyway so i can make pizza dough. May need to start with the mixer and slowly add in the sausage making toys, so it doesn't break the bank in one shot! Which crank stuffer is recommended?

    Pork Butt

I have now been suggested it is good and also it is bad. when I rinsed it off, the smell was reduced to very little. I have it cooking right now. When it is done I will taste a small bite to see if it tastes gamey and decide if I should toss it at that time. Is this a safe decision? I have...

    question about vents

I would also make sure that you do not use very much lit coal to start. And i run my vents at 0% open for ribs, but think I finnally have my WSM sealed enough where it will put the fire out at 0%.

    Temperature Probe

I don't see any with a paenetrating tip on their site? I found a nice blunt tip one from newark for only 16.95 that I can use for the pit, but need a penetrating tip one for the meat now.
