    stok grill

Well, it's been a while since I updated The grilled sprouts weren't as good as I thought they would be, but that's probably more due to "operator error" than anything wrong with the grill. They tasted good, but were a bit "crunchy"...longer grill time, next time ! Done several quick...

    stok grill

Perhaps a little off topic My $99 Brinkman gasser looks like...errr...like it's 2 years old, and has been left out on the deck in the blazing FL sunshine and toad-strangling rain I don't believe in spending any time fiddling with a gasser...figure it's cheaper just to replace it...

    Message to the lurkers... *****

Lurkers, don't feel intimidated of jumping in here...I think this Board is a very special place, and IMO there are several reasons why : First, I think Chris deserves a lot of credit for running a "tight ship"...he posts the rules, and enforces them, all the while continuing to update the front...

    What's your favorite coffee maker?

John, Yeah, it's probably a marketing gimmick to sell filters My taste buds aren't sophisticated enough to tell the difference ! In Braun's defense, the pot comes with a "plug" to eliminate the filter, if you choose not to use it... Reminds me of a story...I have a local private water...

    What's your favorite coffee maker?

Hmmm...interesting thread ! The Wife and I drink a lot of coffee, so that single-cup stuff is not for us...we like a pot in the morning We aren't coffee nerds, but we have Family Members who are in to roasting their own beans, etc etc, so we get "freebies". We use what we have on hand, be...

This thread is just too funny !!! I suggested, in the "Just Conversation" TVWB "Get Together" thread, that we should schedule the first International "Meat and Greet" at Wolgast's I figure us Old Guys need to recognize this young kid's contributions, even IF we can't always identify what...

    I don't get it...

An interesting thread ! I haven't seen anyone mention those local, hole-in-the-wall places...are they "restaurants" ? Depends on your definition After moving back to FL, I notice a LOT more of that type of place than I saw in MD...maybe it's a "Lower Alabama" thing...do they "make money"...

    Pink-Eyed Peas ?

Thanks, Kevin ! I started munching on the raw, shelled peas, after they were in the fridge for a while....pretty tasty ! They DO seem very much like black-eyes...kinda an "earthy" taste. I once tried making Cuban bolitos from black-eyes, MANY years ago...I distinctly remember thinking "I'll...
