    ended up getting the new regulator from weber and the quick connect to pol adapter from ace. they were a little prouder of their adapter $20. at this point i just wanna use the thing. so by late next week i'll be done. and so the search for another one begins.

    my igniter is rusted too but i can see a spark in the tube when i push the button. wouldnt light with the ingiter tho just with a match. i cleaned out the tube really good hoping that it will take off after reassembly. mines stripped down to the frame right now. i priced the igniter for $10...

    Why Oak?

    i mix it with hickory to mellow things out a bit depending what im cooking. i really like the mix but i've yet to use oak alone. ace quit carrying oak in the chunk size. i have to saw or split their larger size for use on the wsm.

    watch the amount of smoke wood.smoking it would make the skin kinda rubbery . salted chicken is my wifes favorite. i use a minimal amount of cherry and it comes out great on the kettle. im sure it would be great on the wsm too

    i'd say get the 22. my 18 was just a few weeks old when they announced the 22 last august.i showed a lot of restraint waiting til after christmas to get the big one. a friend from work has the 18 now. yes the 22 costs more and uses more fuel but i like the extra room. for ribs, big packers...

    so will the side of the kettle rest right on the cement board? might come through the corner supports and run a couple long bolts through the plastic spacers used on the lid holder. you'd get a little separation that way and only have to drill a couple holes. im really liking the looks of...

    waiting on parts from weber, some are on backorder. got all the rust off and painted the frame. touched up the bowl with some red 1300 degree paint made for manifolds. you have to heat it in stages for it to cure. they really do get a lot darker when they get hot. i have a new favorite grill...
