Weber Rotisserie Kit for 22 Inch Kettle

I have the Cajun bandit version and it's great. Chicken, turkey, pastor, it's awesome. I don't know that I'd call it a bbq essential but it sure it cool.

Happen to Anyone Else with Amazon?

Yep. Was going to buy a new blender and was mulling over my options. Put the Vitamix in the cart and poked around a while. Decided to order the Vitamix and it went up almost forty bucks. Hoping it will drop back down in the next little while. I check every few days.

    What's on tap/brew schedule?

It's finally not hot as heck down here so it's time for some bigger brews. It's awesome to hang out in the garage and enjoying a nice day. Imperial porter brewing up today. Should finish at about 8%. Inlaws will be here in a month so in a couple weeks I'll brew up a dark mild with some clarity...

I sense a new thread coming on. "Joan's recipe roulette". Sounds like a good idea.

    Cooking errors.

My ol lady is a champ. She knows I have the best of intentions but "done" times can vary all the way up to a couple hours for longer cooks. She has her sides ready and waiting and never gives me a hard time. Just wants a ten minute warning. That's what cocktails are for. Another martini and it...

    My Favorite Christmas Gift

I'm sure she enjoys reaping the benefits of your addiction! That's pretty cool.

    Poor mans Brisket

I've never thought to try sesame oil as a binder. Any particular reason why or is it just what you had?

Setting up a wsm in the garage

I've done it with the wsm just at the edge of the door to keep it out of the rain. I think actually doing it inside would be a really bad idea, even with the doors mostly open. I think keeping it under the eves wrapped with a welding blanket or water heater insulation would be your best bet...

Would you spin a turkey in zero degrees?!

I would for sure. The wife would support me but secretly have a backup. Would wrapping a heating pad around the LP cylinder help? Allow for some extra time and bust out the barrel proof. I love a challenge.

Texas Monthly - Where Have All the Savory Spareribs Gone?

Having moved from nor cal to south Texas, well, let's just say things are different. So far all the spots I've tried here do a savory rib and my wife and I both prefer it when you're having a few. When cooking comps I sweeten and slather them up. And I can't stand to eat more than one. If I ask...

What Rubs and Sauces are you using and where do you buy it?

Mostly stuff from meat church, kosmos and killer hogs. Bought at my local academy and ace. But I do have jar of Soo's moo-la also that I use. Oh, and susie Q's blue label for O.G. tri tip. From Amazon. Honey hog and the gospel from meat church and the bbq and bbq rub hot from killer hogs...

Placing wood chunks in the WSM

I remember hearing stump say that on pitmasters years ago. I figured there had to be something to it as not only stump but many other teams have great success with gravity smokers. I've never used one myself, but having cooked on an offset with thin blue, or usually no trace of smoke at all, I...

    Grill master Snoopy

My wife surprised me with an ornament she found. Looks like it's from several years back. I love it, combines two of my favorite things, grilling and peanuts. Anyone else seen it before?
