Can this propane tank be converted?

In the end, I got two regular valve tanks that were already filled. I saved $15-20 from buying a filled tank from Amerigas, so not exactly a huge bargain. One tank is 2015, the other 2010. I thought they're good for 12 years, so I'll run the 2010 out first, and swap it. The 2015 is really clean...

Can this propane tank be converted?

Thanks. Do you have to prentend that its a normal connection when you swap it, or is it legit to swap the tank over if it's got that fitting? I guess if I'm trading it in, then the fact it's got $10 of gas in it isn't important and maybe I'll just grab an empty used tank to swap anyway (which...

Can this propane tank be converted?

Are these propane tank fittings ones that just screw off and work with regular threaded fittings? I'm after a propane tank, as we moved and I left/sold my old ones before we moved, as I couldn't bring them in the POD. This one is cheap, and 2/3's full, so my cheapest option if the quick connect...

    Red Head Genesis Grill

Provided not much rust, that is an awesome score. I have the basic genesis 1000, and really want the wider frame from a 2000 to 5000 next. I'm always on the lookout for a rust free one to swap my parts onto. Maybe later this summer I'll finally find one.

Newer castors for a Genesis 1000 (1991 vintage I think) from Performer Charcoal?

I have one grill now, a Genesis 1000 redhead. I tidied it up, but it needs another repaint and some custom wood to make it really shine. I really like the older Genesis grills, but the there are some things I'd like to change on the 1000, but not sure they'll fit. I have a spare set of...

Weber RedHead Lid only. Salt Lake City. Short?

Dumping today, so now is gone. Shame nobody has a use for it, and I don't have space to store. Oh well, such is life.

Weber RedHead Lid only. Salt Lake City. Short?

The lid's in good condition, it's free. I'll actually pull the end caps and weber logo off before dumping, as then I can paint them and swap them onto my grill. This is the one that I'm ditching, as it won't fit my grill. My grill, instead, takes one like this.

Weber RedHead Lid only. Salt Lake City. Short?

Garbage day is Tuesday. So it's going in the trash can Monday night, the 26th August. Sorry to the readers who love the old grills, it's sacrilege to throw it out, but I'm trying to clean up and get rid of as many things as possible.

Weber RedHead Lid only. Salt Lake City. Short?

I picked up a spare red head lid for my 1000, but then when I finally went to fit it, it's like an inch or maybe 1.5" shorter. So maybe a different year, or maybe a two burner lid? I'll try to measure today. FREE Local collection only (Holladay).

    Time to stop buying...

I'm glad that there are people doing all the refurbs and keeping these out of the dump.

Need to learn about Weber Q Grills (used ones) so I know what model to look for

From what everyone has said, Q120/1200 does sound big enough, and smaller. That deal for $10 with a cart is a steal!! I'll keep looking . Thanks

Need to learn about Weber Q Grills (used ones) so I know what model to look for

That definitely looks like the stand I want. Sounds like a Q120/1200 would be ideal. I'd rather have smaller/lighter than the slightly bigger 2200, and the 3200 is just way off the list. Thanks all for the info. I'll keep looking for a $50 max grill. I was surprised that the Q1200 (I think)...

Save me from buying this ..

It looks to not have the side burner. So that would make it an E-310? I'll message and see. I just can't believe in an area of 1million people, that someone else hasn't grabbed this. Maybe I'll be selling my redhead in spring. What about RCPlaner grates? I can't work out if the Gen 1000 grates...

Save me from buying this ..

Do these Genesis grills come apart (with basic hand tools on the curb?) to fit into a station wagon? (Outback?) If I can bring it home in parts, and slip it into the shed ...
