Picked up the new 26 master touch. Love the new grate, warming rack, and extra space. Had a ding on the lid but Weber got a new one out in less than a week. I am not sure about the charcoal rails so I just used my old baskets.
The Montgomery Alabama Costco has never had pork belly or whole packers. I have not seen the tri tips in a while. However, we are getting a Costco liquor store
I melted mine on the 4th. I lit the grill and dumped all the coals then refilled the chimney and placed it in the wsm. I went out an hou later to light the wsm and apparently some embers were left and flames were shooting out the bottom. I dumped and threw it in the yard to cool off.
I know from experience butt on the kettle takes some work. You definitely knocked it out of the park.
I must ask is that Ubatuba granite countertops? We just had those installed this week.
i was in HD tonight and they had the pallets of charcoal up on top of the shelves. This is usually a sign of an imminent sale. i picked up some during the Good Friday sale but need some reserves.
There is also usually sales at those places on Good Friday. The price is usually a couple of dollars higher than the summer sales. Costco usually starts carrying Kingsford competition at that time for a good price as well. You may want to check current prices at Sams club.
As an engineer I like numbers and data myself. I have found that bbq is just as much art as science. The meat and fire can act and react differently. Over time you will get a good general feel for what is right. If it doesn't turn out ok just use more sauce. Good luck and have fun.
I have the east/west burners and the rotisserie. The burner arrangement is great for the roto. While I love my 09 grill there are some advantages to the new ones. They come with a double lined hood and heat shields under the burners. That said they are not as good with the roto. I will warn you...
Love the classic black even though I went crimson this year. Got my first one from my parents 14 years ago and still have it. If I had to slim down to one grill it would be my OTG. You can cook everything on their. Enjoy the clean look, it won't stay that way for long.
Nothing tops breakfast on the genny. I do highly recommend the griddle that replaces a grate. It is perfect for our large cooks. It is my favorite accessory.
I have the rotisserie accessory for my Genesis and it does a good job even without a dedicated burner. I actuaaly prefer the enameled hood to the stainless for clean up purposes. As far as grates, I like the Porcelain enameled cast iron but when these go out I may invest in some SS grates...
