    Cronch Wraps

So I never thought I’d buy a BS. I bought my first one 6-7 years ago. It was end of grill season I was wandering through Home Depot and there was one 22” in a damaged box it was marked down to $79. There was a HD employee on the aisle and I asked if they could mark it down more due to the...

    Cronch Wraps

I like that idea! We’ve made these with shrimp and rockfish. So I could definitely see a Cajun version. Maybe a Gumbo or Jambalaya filled cronch wrap! Got my wheels turning!

    Cronch Wraps

I cook in the garage all the time with my big (22”) Blackstone. I just leave the garage door open for the most part. I use the 17” more than the 22”. It’s what I take camping now and for cooks like these I bring it indoors. During the summer my 22” is set up outside all the time. Last summer I...

    Cronch Wraps

These are really tasty. You can customize them too. We’ve made them with shrimp, fish, chicken left over Tri tip, etc. then whatever you like on a taco that you have in hand. It helps to get really big tortillas. These one were just over 12” in diameter. I buy them at US foods Chef Market.

    Cronch Wraps

Yeah this was all stuff we had stocked in the fridge. I have made these using chicken that I chopped up into 1/2”ish cubes. They were really tasty. Makes a good use of left over chicken.

    Cronch Wraps

Yesterday I smoked a Tri Tip in the 14 WSM. I was going to do a post about it but the weather sucked so I didn’t take many photos. But to keep this smoke related here’s what I did take. Fast forward to tonight I made Cronch Wraps. Not to be confused with Taco Bell’s Crunch wraps. Windy...

    Super Crispy fried chicken.

We don't eat fried food very often whenever the craving hits.. It happens outside or in the garage, depending on the weather. I don't always use the induction though. Sometimes I use the Discada or the discada burner and a dutch oven. I have been craving JoJo's so I will make a batch of those...

You can use any pan that a magnet will stick too. Even some stainless works as they sometimes put iron in the bases. Best way to find out is to put a pan on it. If it turns on you're good to go.

    Super Crispy fried chicken.

Chuck, I've had the Duxtop induction burner for 3 years now. Its a work horse. This is the cream of the crop in my opinion. I often use it instead of our electric range. And It works great for deep frying outdoors or as was the case with this cook in the garage (was windy and raining outside). I...

    Super Crispy fried chicken.

I had planned on doing smoked chicken wings today but we had 20-25 mph winds and sideways snow. So instead I set up my fry station in the garage and fried up some super crispy wings. Had a packet of NOH Hawaiian Spicy chicken seasoning. I’ve never tried it before so gave it a go. I sort of...
