I just bought a set for my Q300 and will have Grillgrates on top of them. The old cast iron ones were a mess.

I have the old model Q300 with the non-electronic ignition. Is it possible to swap that out for the kind that runs on batteries? i.e. does it fit?

Yeah, the binder clips did not really work. I was thinking about using some sort of wire - is rebar wire flexible enough? What other wires might work?

I ended up reaching out the the company themselves, and they suggested using small binder clips to secure it to the OEM grates. Will try that.

What sort of wire would you suggest?

I received my Grill Grates for my Q300 and like them so far. My only issue is that they slide around quite a bit - no way to really lock them in as they are smaller than the grill surface.

My Q300 is not heating up quickly anymore, nor is it getting to high temps. Googling led me to think my venturi tubes might need cleaning. Can anyone point me to instructions on how to do this? I bought a brush. Do I need to disassemble the grill? Thanks in advance.

I did this last week as well - blackened some cod in it. Love using cast iron outside!

Thanks for this. I think the dimension of the Q300 series grates are about 24.75" wide by 17.75 deep. Grillgrates makes grates that are 17.375" long so it would seem that I could fit at least two of those, with maybe two the smaller size on either side to allow for the tapering/rounding of the...

What size (and how many) Grillgrates best cover a Q300 grill?

Why is this not recommended? I am to the point of replacing my grates on my Q300 because they are so rusted and dirty...no amount of brushing can get them clean. I am not a big fan of these grates. Should I not consider seasoning them?
