money to burn?

I can actually remember this poster being displayed at our local True Value store back in the 60s and 70s. I have no idea what anyone would do with it. And if as many hardware stores that stocked Weber products had this as I think there was, it may not be as rare as the seller thinks it is! And I know posters don't appreciate as well as prints. We have Scott Jacobs poster that we won as a raffle prize that if it were the print of the same subject would be worth many thousands. But the poster, last time I checked, is worth about $39.95!

Vintage with the latest font/logo?

I can trace that font back to 1972 looking at catalogs Chris has posted for us. http://tvwbb.com/docs/1972webercatalog.pdf

In 1968 the Weber font was not rounded; much different. http://tvwbb.com/docs/1968webercatalog.pdf Check out those stylin' shirts from that era!

That said, no way can I see anyone paying $1,500 for that poster. Not even a 10th of that price.... $15 would be reasonable. It's just not that great or collectible imo.

Hell, if I just wanted to burn the money I would just light it (with lighter fluid of course ) and watch it burn. But then again the shipping is FREE.....
nah, the money would make a better show.

60's? and if it was a Andy Warhol.. Sure they would get that price, but for regular poster art, I don't think so.
