    New DigiQ II!

I got my new unit Thursday and am well into my first cook of 2 8lb pork butts. To mount it I bent up the included bracket and mounted it to the top hole of one of the legs. Here is a picture of the mount. I love this thing, setup was a snap and everything is working flawlessly so far!

    Breaded, Smoked Chicken Wings

I decided to try this recipe from the Dizzy Pig website this evening, and they were delicious. http://www.dizzypigbbq.com/recipesWings.html I'll admit, I was skeptical as to how the coating would set, but it worked very well. I don't have any prep pictures, but I followed their recipe...

    22 lbs of Pork Butt

Threw on 3 butts at 7.5 lbs each a couple of hours ago. Having a party tomorrow night for 20 or so people. I'll be throwing 4 racks of BB ribs on tomorrow along with potatoes, which is why the butts are on the bottom. Empty water pan with foil on it, full ring of charcoal and hickory chunks...

5 lb Pork Butt, How Long?

I just picked up my first pork butt, its 4.77 lbs. Just curious...about how long do you think it will take? I know they can stall out, or take less time than expected, but is 1.5 hours per lb a good rule of thumb at 250ish? Thanks!

    Country Style Ribs

Cooked a batch today, and they came out great. Soaked in some apple juice for a few hours before, then added some rub and brown sugar. Cooked for about 4 hours at 225ish on the WSM, and sprayed with apple juice every hour and again when done...cut/pulled them after foiling for about 20...

    Handles on my 18 inch

Nothing too new here, but figured I would post a picture. I picked up two sets of garage door handles from Lowes (4 total) for about $3 per set, and mounted them in the grill strap holes. Others have reported having to drill out the holes, but not me, the handles I found had big enough holes...

    Baconus Maximus Burgers

This is my second variation on the "Bacon Explosion" I'm sure most of you are familiar with. For this one, I used ground beef for the filler and stuffed it with more bacon (of course) and raw onions, going for a bacon burger theme. 3 hours on the smoker, and it was ready. I also had some ribs...
